The young, upstart Kansas City Royals were in the middle of another locker room celebration, following a dramatic 3-game sweep at home of the Los Angeles Angels. Someone came in and mentioned that several thousand fans were still in the stands, refusing to allow the moment to end. Several players broke from the festivities, went back out on the field and celebrated with their fans. Later, first baseman Eric Hosmer tweeted to his followers and joined several hundred of them at a bar downtown, picking up what eventually amounted to a $20,000 bar tab.
This is not about baseball. Please read the rest of my post here.
